Boeing 767-300

  • Ansett Australia was the official airline of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydeny. This aircraft carried an Olympic torch onboard and was painted in this special "Olympic Torch Relay" color scheme to celebrate the event.

The aircraft itself was built in 1996 for Continental airlines. However, the airline never took the delivery, and so the plane went to an Irish-based leasing company who leased the plane to Ansett. After its career with Ansett Boeing 767 continued its life with North American Airlines and then consequently with Omni Air International, with whom it still flies today.
