FAQ: What is Airigami Classic?

Airigami Classic (3G and 4G) was introduced in 2003 and as published until 2006. All Airigami Classic generations (3G, 4G, 5G, and 6G) are compatible with one another – each series is based on the same scale and are published on a standard canvas size, meaning that they will each print at the same scale. The scale of Airigami Classic varies depending on the size of paper used to print the models, and can be varied by altering the printing scale. However, printed at full-size, Airigami Classic models are roughly 1:315 to 1:340. Learn more about scale here.

Airigami.8 uses the same design principles as Airigami Classic – if you are able to successfully build Airigami Classic models, you will have no problem in building Airigami.8 models. Airigami.8 models can be scaled the same as Airgiami Classic designs however some calibration at the time of printing is required. We have provided instructions on scaling that explain how to do this.
